BUSTER ON THE RUN! (for Large Percussion Ensemble) is 3 minutes of non-stop rollicking, zany fun! The piece may be played alone or in sync with the finale scene from the 1921 Buster Keaton silent film, THE GOAT.
Scored for a large ensemble of mallets (Bells, Vibraphones, Xylophone, Marimbas), battery percussion (including sound effect toy percussion), and optional bass, Buster On the Run! was commissioned by the award-winning Nazareth Area High School Percussion Ensemble (Nazareth, PA), Rick Hilborn, director.

Chaplin and a saloon bully have eyes for the same dance hall girl! A hilarious scuffle ensues as the hapless Tramp brings down the house and wins over the crowd...and the girl!
